Please Teach Me

As I greet the heavenly roses in my own backyard, I see myself in them. I see how Mother Earth loves me and my beauty as much as She loves them and their beauty. Yet, I want to understand the roses’ simplicity—their straightforward beingness—as well as their secrets. I want to live and die as straightforwardly as they do. Pristine rose—please teach me!

My death is as painless as the roses’ wilting

Yet only in understanding and accepting this can it be so.

The death of my thoughts is as painless as the death of the rose

Yet only in understanding and accepting this can it be so.

Death in nature is simply freedom—

We will not have lost anything.

We will have only gained—

In love, in love, in love.

Words, music, art, lovers,

Make infinity possible.

As nature in its birth and dying

Also make infinity possible.

All is infinity,

Infinity is all.

What is this miraculous dance?
